About Guides Daily
Last updated: 5 October 2026
Guides Daily publishes free printable guides and short on-site checks for everyday worries: pets, scam safety after 50, and prayer. It is operated by PRISRA Group, which is the publisher of everything on this site. Contact: hello@guidesdaily.com.
There are five brands, all published by the same company: After 50 Decoded, My Cat Explains, My Dog Explains, Mi Perro Explica (in Spanish) and Verses & Prayer.
Who writes this
The guides are written and edited in-house at PRISRA Group and published under the name Guides Daily. We do not invent author bylines, and you will not find a named expert or a "medically reviewed by" line on these pages, because there isn't one.
No veterinarian, doctor or other licensed professional wrote or reviewed this content. What we do instead is narrower and checkable: for each sign we say which published organization describes it as urgent, and we link to that page so you can read it yourself. If our wording and the source disagree, the source is right. Write to us and we'll fix the page.
What these guides do not do
- No diagnosis. Nothing here tells you what your animal has, or what you have. The dog and cat checks output one thing: a level of urgency, meaning how fast to call, plus what to write down for the visit.
- No treatment, no doses, no medication advice. That belongs to your vet or your doctor.
- Not a replacement for your vet, your bank, or a hotline. Where a sign is urgent, the guide says so and points you at the number to call.
- US phone numbers. Poison and fraud hotlines on this site are United States lines. Outside the US, use your local equivalent.
Where the information comes from
Each sign in the pet checks carries the id of a specific published page, and every PDF lists its sources on the last page. The organizations we cite, by area:
- AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association) — which animal emergencies need care immediately.
- VCA Animal Hospitals — dog and cat symptoms, bloat, seizures, vomiting, diarrhea, lameness and more.
- AKC (American Kennel Club) — dog behaviour and common owner questions.
- ASPCA — Animal Poison Control, toxic foods and the list of toxic and non-toxic plants.
- Merck Veterinary Manual — reference material on specific conditions.
- Cornell Feline Health Center — litter box and urinary warning signs in cats.
- Pet Poison Helpline — the second US poison line we list.
- FTC and FBI IC3 — current scams and where to report them.
- AARP Fraud Watch Network — the free helpline for scam victims and their families.
- World English Bible (ebible.org) and the King James Version — public-domain Scripture. Every verse and prayer text we print is public domain; we do not write prayers and present them as Scripture.
Sources are listed with the date we last checked them. The dog check's source list is visible in the page data at /assets/check/dogs.json, and the Spanish one at /assets/check/perro.json, so you can audit every link without trusting our summary of it.
How the product links work
Guides Daily takes part in the Amazon Associates programme. If you buy something through a link on this site, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. That is how the free guides are paid for.
- The commission never changes an urgency level. Levels come from the source data, and the check decides the level before any product is shown.
- We don't recommend anything for a sign whose right answer may be a vet, and we don't list supplements, ear cleaners or anything that can mask a symptom.
- We don't print prices on the site, because Amazon prices change. The link takes you to Amazon, where the current price is.
- Every block of links carries a visible disclosure.
- We have not been paid by any brand to include a product, and no brand has approved or reviewed any page here.
What you won't find here
- No fake reviews or invented testimonials.
- No made-up download counts, user numbers or statistics.
- No countdown timers or fake scarcity.
- No advertising or analytics cookies. See the privacy policy.
- We never sell or rent your email address.
Corrections
If something on this site is wrong, out of date, or disagrees with the source it cites, email hello@guidesdaily.com. We correct the page and change the "last updated" date on it. Pages that change materially say so.
